Mark was a fierce fighter for life during the 84th Legislative Session. Standing up for both pro-life and end-of-life legislation, Mark earned a "Pro-Life Champion" perfect score from Texas Right to Life. He was not only a co-author of many pieces of legislation, but also sponsored amendments that protected life. In light of recent news stories, there needs to be more work done to protect life and Mark will always be in support of pro-life legislation.
